Gynecology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the health of the female reproductive system, including the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, and vagina.

Gynecologists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions related to menstruation, fertility, contraception, hormone disorders, infections, and diseases such as ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, and cancers of the reproductive organs. They also perform routine exams like Pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams to screen for early signs of health problems.
